DIY Farmhouse Flair

Hi y’all! I’m sorry I didn’t post in June but life has been hectic with a new job! However I did manage to find the time to do some DIY décor. I saw several different versions of this on Etsy and on Pinterest, but I decided to try making my own. I found most of my supplies at Michaels, and got the hook from Home Depot. All you have to do in order to make this for yourself is take the mason jar lid and drill two small holes parallel to each other. Then once that has been done adjust the length of the chain to how you desire and attach the chain to the lid. I then screwed the hook into the wood about ¼ inch down from the top of the plank. Simply attach some twin or another type of string to the back in order to make for easy hanging. Then just add the flower and enjoy! I personally went with a white hydrangea in order to keep it neutral so it can be placed in any room, but you could easily make it pop with a more colorful flower choice. Another way to spice up this project would be to add fairy lights to the inside of the mason jar. It is a simple DIY project that makes for a great piece of farmhouse décor.
